Asian Pacific Heritage Festival

The Asian Pacific Heritage Festival is just over a month away! We have over 50 residents of Asian or Pacific heritage signed up to participate, but we are looking for more! Particularly, discussion panelists, decorators for our parade of countries, and we have also opened up the option for 3D art exhibits. If you have any questions, please reach out to me on messenger or in-world (Trouble Dethly).

I may have been a little over ambitious with the Festival, as I have had the most difficulty finding people for the discussion panel, but I feel it’s better to aim as high as I can. Even if I don’t reach that point, it will still be a fantastic festival where we can showcase and celebrate the diversity and beauty of the different Asian and Pacific cultures.

Also, I decided to open up the option for 3D art exhibits. Even with just the one we have now, I feel it will help enrich the entire festival as a whole.

The Asian Pacific Heritage Festival is a celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders in Second Life. In the month of May, we will come together for this vibrant festival to celebrate and share our vast culture, diversity and history with the entire Second Life community through live music, photography exhibitions, traditional food, the parade of countries, discussion panels and more.

We invite virtual residents of Second Life to showcase their Asian and Pacific Island heritage. This festival will take place on a full sim with the center area for the Open Air Market, as well as an event stage. This will be surrounded by parade floats and the art exhibition.
